TC Tool & Die operates from premises purchased 2 years ago within Southgate Business Park in Umbogintwini in the heart of Toyota country. Although we utilize a mere 400 square metres we offer a level of service and commitment to our customers considerably above that of any of the average present day South African SMME tool-room concern.
TC Tool & Die have operated successfully for almost 10 years and are proud to list Toyota Boshoku South Africa, Toyota Gosei South Africa, Cataler South Africa, Smiths Manufacturing, Smiths Plastics, South African Breweries, Bevcan and Bevcap (a division of Nampak Ltd) and several of Toyota South Africa Manufacturing’s O.E. suppliers as our major customers.
Tony Camitsis saw the need for self employment following his career as toolmaker-turned-process engineer within a large O.E.M. motor vehicle manufacturer (Toyota S.A. Motors). Tony, being a driven pro-active individual made the leap in February of 1997 and was rewarded with 2 years of full contracting based on a price-per-job payment and working an average week of 100 hours.
During this time Tony accumulated a vast store of knowledge as well as funds to secure a deposit on his own machines. He purchased basic tool room machinery, a lathe, a turret mill and surface grinder and in August 2004 purchased his own factory at Southgate Business Park which is where the business operates from today.
TC Tool & Die are flanked by 3 Toyota plants and provide breakdown, jig and fixture manufacture and general maintenance associated with plant and machinery for them.
OUR COMPLIMENT OF MACHINERY INCLUDES
